Who would need to use CRAM for Riverine wetlands and why?
Anyone involved in
The management and/or monitoring of riparian restoration projects. CRAM is a rapid cost-effective way to monitor change in condition over time.
Consulting Firms. CRAM is an excellent way to create a snapshot of wetland condition for clients. Landowners who have a CRAM score of condition for the natural resources on their land could increase land value.
Resource Managers. A CRAM score can help focus management efforts by pointing out the lowest scoring attributes that make up wetland condition.
State and Local Agencies. CRAM is an effective way to conduct and ambient assessment at the local, regional, and statewide scale.
Permitting Processes. CRAM is being considered as a condition for 404 permitting, 401 certification, and section1600 under CDFG.
